Earth's Most Threatened Tribe

Survival International has launched a new film to draw attention to the potential annihilation of the Awá Indians in Brazil. In it, Survival supporter, Colin Firth, asks viewers to send a message to Brazil's Minister of Justice. The music is by Grammy-winning composer Heitor Pereira.

The Awá are the Earth's most threatened tribe. Their land has been invaded by a vast army of illegal loggers, ranchers and settlers. Only a groundswell of public opinion in their support, in Brazil and internationally, can protect this small tribe from those who want to kill them and steal their land.

Survival International would be very grateful indeed if everyone would consider drawing the attention of their friends and contacts to this action and invite them to view the film online. The more people that view the film and share it on social network sites like Facebook and Twitter, the greater their chances of success.

Survival has been campaigning for Awá land for over forty years but consider this new step to be essential if the Awá are going to survive.
