Bristol mum Debbie Cogan has organized the Art Explosion, an art show and auction at the Centrespace Gallery (6 Leonard Lane, Bristol; behind 31 Corn St) featuring work by both celebrities and local artists to raise money for the Bristol Autism Project. The show will be open on Saturday and Sunday 28 and 29 April with an exclusive auction taking place at 6.30PM on the Saturday evening.
They have started auctioning artwork on eBay by:
Gillian Anderson
Daniel Kaluuya who played Agent Tucker in Johnny English Reborn (on television: Skins UK, Psychoville, The Fades).
Alex Arnold who played metalhead Rich Hardbeck in the third and last generation of Skins UK (2011-2012).
Debbie was inspired to organize this event by her son James who has Aspergers, a complex part of the Autism spectrum. Hundreds of children in Bristol share the same diagnosis and the Bristol Autism Project gives them the opportunity to have fun and freedom in their childhood. It also offers a helpline enabling parents to talk to other parents and professionals.
