Gillian attended the Warrior Programme 2nd Anniversary Gala Dinner, at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on November 30, 2009 in London, England.
The Warrior Programme was established in 2007 by Eva Hamilton MBE and Charlotte Cole, former colleagues at 'Business in the Community'.
The Warrior Programme restores self-esteem and helps to re-build confidence and dignity, empowering people by giving them the tools to lead a more fulfilled life. It particularly helps Ex-Service personnel and the homeless, and provides an environment where creative solutions can be explored in a supportive community atmosphere, yet on a one-to-one basis.
At the event: "...just as it seemed the volume could go no higher, Sir Bob Geldof stepped onto the stage and offered an additional auction prize - a photograph of Michael Jackson, taken 25 years ago to the very day when celebrating Band Aid's success. This resulted in great excitement and frenzied bidding, with Gillian Anderson taking the prize."
