New Buskaid CD: Crazy

Just in time for holiday giving, Buskaid is delighted to announce that their latest CD Crazy has been released.

Crazy is a vibrant collection of Timothy Kraemer’s brilliant and original string arrangements of favourite classic pops including Mamma Mia, Sweet Dreams and many others, and also includes several witty arrangements by William Thorp, of Broadway hits such as Let’s Do It and Makin' Whoopee.

Three of the ensemble’s musicians also feature as vocal soloists in such favourites as Georgia, Fever, Son of a Preacherman and Bridge over Troubled Water. The disc also features original compositions for the Ensemble by Timothy Kraemer, including the title song Crazy.

We are also hugely excited that we can now offer the BBC Documentary Soweto Strings as a DVD. Mark Kidel's brilliant documentary, following two years in the life of Buskaid, gives a fascinating insight into life at the Music School, and the DVD also features footage of the Buskaid Ensemble in performance at the Cite de la Musique in Paris in 2007.
