Buskaid: Big Give Christmas Challenge

Dear Buskaid Supporters,

As you may know, last year Buskaid took part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, where supporters’ donations were matched by funding from the Reed Foundation (the trust behind The Big Give). This was a very successful campaign for Buskaid, and we raised more than £24,000 and attracted a number of new supporters.

We are delighted that Buskaid has been selected to take part in the 2010 Christmas Challenge, and hope to make this year’s effort just as successful!

The 2010 Challenge takes place in two parts:

1. Between now and 5th November we are asking supporters to go online and make pledges of any amount over £100, with the aim of building up a £3,000 pledge fund.

2. In December, donations of any size made via The Big Give will be doubled with money from the pledge fund and the Reed Foundation. Donors who have pledged money in the autumn will not be eligible to give again in December.

As someone who has given to Buskaid in the past, we are asking you to consider making a pledge via Buskaid's Pledge Page at the Big Give, to help us towards our £3,000 total. Pledges need to be made before midnight on Friday 5th November 2010.

With an increasingly uncertain financial climate, and growing costs, for example of supporting the students coming to study in the UK, the need for Buskaid to raise further funds in order to continue its important work remains acute.
