April 27, 2002 Interviewer: For the fans who are watching from all over the world... Gillian: Wow, Live! Interviewer: Now, how was the last day of shooting? Was it sad? Gillian: Was it what? Interviewer: Was it sad? Gillian: Um, that was yesterday. I think I got up at 4 in the morning, it got to about 100 degrees in the desert, it was really really windy, we had some trouble with the explosion, everybody had their water guns out and (laughs) ... Interviewer: Don't reveal anymore. Gillian: (still laughing) You know it was surreal. We were in the middle of the desert for crying out loud. And there we all were, together, and we were with the greatest people doing a show that we've love for, you know, on and off for 9 years and it was the best possible scenario, I think, for all of us to be thrown in that kind of situation and it was sad but I'm in denial (laughs again). Interviewer: Now we're here live with fans from all over the world, what do you want to say to them? Gillian: Well a lot of fans already know how I feel about them but it's been extraordinary to have such a huge fan - devoted fan - base from the very beginning of the show and there have been a lot of people that have stuck with us and even for the people that haven't, you know, it's just that they did at all was amazing and it's just been the greatest support that we've gotten and I hope we have done you proud. Interviewer: Now, I know that you've optioned a book. Do you have anything else planned, any other projects? Gillian: Yeah, I am going to do a play in October in London and I might do something before that or I might not. I kinda feel like going on a sabbatical and... Interviewer: Relaxing? Gillian: Something like that. Yeah. Interviewer: You're going to have a great time in London. Gillian: I will, yes. Interviewer: You've lived there. Gillian: Yes. Interviewer: Have a good time tonight because you've earned the rest and the enjoyment too. Gillian: Thank you very much. Interviewer: And thanks for being on the show. We love the show. Gillian: Thanks so very much. Thank you everybody! (Looks directly at the camera, smiles, gives a little wave, and places her right hand over her heart.)
