Tonight: Hannibal Season 1 Finale
Posted at 1:25 PM (PDT) on Thursday, June 20, 2013
A Nightmarish Hannibal Finale By Matt Roush TV Guide
A chill wind blows onto your TV screen as summer beckons, with one last ghoulish chapter in the artful and macabre saga of NBC's HANNIBAL, Bryan Fuller's deliciously suspenseful and deeply unsettling twist on the Thomas Harris franchise.
Everyone is at the top of their game as the season reaches its pivotal and haunting climax, especially the leads: Mikkelsen shedding crocodile tears of remorse — could it be real, or just another psycho gambit? — over Abigail's and Will's messy fates in sessions with the cool Dr. Du Maurier (a stunning Gillian Anderson), while continuing to baldly lie and set his traps; and Dancy making painfully tangible Will's despair, confusion and slowly dawning awareness that he may be the greatest victim yet in this entire scenario.
By the final scene, echoing iconic images from the cinematic Lecter catalogue, you know this can't be the end of the story. Thankfully, it doesn't have to be.

Review of XF S:10 Comic Book, Issue #1
Posted at 1:39 PM (PDT) on Wednesday, June 19, 2013
The Verdict from X-Files News:
We have been waiting for these comics since January. The anticipation kept building and building, and Issue #1 lived up to some very high expectations. Season 10 isn't just an adaptation of The X-Files; like its name implies, it attempts to be a worthy continuation of the series. We are really pleased with what we have seen so far. The "Believers" storyline is intriguing and there are some important tie-ins to the show's mythology that have us anxious to see what happens next.
It is clear that the creative team behind these comics has great respect for the history of The X-Files and its fanbase. We highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Issue #1. So turn on some Mark Snow, burrow into your favorite chair, and take a look at what Mulder and Scully have been up to.
The X-Files: Season 10 comic book is available in stores today.

On Set with Gillian & Ben
Posted at 3:42 PM (PDT) on Tuesday, June 18, 2013
OK, TAKE 27! ON SET WITH GILLIAN So you thought making movies was glamorous? So did Edwin Gilson until he joined the star of The Fall and Sir Ben Kingsley at a Co Antrim quarry…
June 18, 2013 By Edwin Gilson Belfast Telegraph
Welcome to Parkgate Quarry in Co Antrim, the post-apocalyptic location of new alien invasion sci-fi film OUR ROBOT OVERLORDS. Every single crew member, including Belfast-born director Jon Wright, is clad in rain mac and Wellington boots in defence against the atrocious conditions. The majority of the cast are cramped up in claustrophobic hideaways, but at least they''re keeping dry.
At the climax of the film, Gandhi star Sir Ben Kingsley will appear at the highest point of the bank, accompanied by a legion of 20 feet tall robots, and enter into a verbal battle with Gillian Anderson, who is taking shelter in the mine-shaft below.
Her parts in OUR ROBOT OVERLORDS are being filmed today, initially minus Kingsley and his mechanic cronies. Along with English child actors Ella Hunt (Les Miserables) and Milo Parker plus a bunch of native rag-tag extras, she shouts defiantly up at an invisible menace.

The Fall FAQ

Many of you have been asking if THE FALL might be eligible for the Primetime Emmys.
Unfortunately, it is NOT eligible because no U.S. money went into its creation.
However, it is eligible for an International Emmy Award (this particular award is never televised).

Gillian Anderson: The Fall girl who never bowed to Hollywood demands
Given her big break in The X-Files despite studio objections, Gillian Anderson has enjoyed a slow-burning career with her latest BBC role paving the way for more television success
By Emine Saner The Guardian 9 June 2013
Steely, but with an underlying softness. A woman to make men weak, but also a feminist who values female company. Engaging, but ultimately a little cool and enigmatic. All could apply equally to Gillian Anderson or DSI Stella Gibson, the detective she plays in the BBC2 drama The Fall.
If they're a good fit for each other, it's no coincidence. Allan Cubitt, the creator of the series, started writing the screenplay in 2010 with Anderson in mind, long before she had been approached. "I just thought she was the best person to play the part as I had conceived it," he says. He sent her the first three scripts, which she liked, "so episodes four and five were written knowing she was interested. I felt more confident in that I knew she could handle the material I was writing especially well."

Stella's Silk Shirts
Posted at 12:37 PM (PDT) on Sunday, June 9, 2013
Now everyone wants a silk shirt to look as cool as TV's sexy sleuth
The Fall's Stella Gibson's blouses have rivalled the fame of Sarah Lund's Faroe Island jumpers
By Tracy McVeigh The Observer 8 June 2013
Sarah Lund's jumper became a fashion hit, but the Faroe Islands thick knit was what the troubled Scandinavian heroine of The Killing hid her sexuality behind.
Now the latest female TV detective to electrify our screens is also causing a stir in womenswear – yet this time she is not afraid to show her sexuality. In fact, she positively bristles with it.
Few of the critics praising Gillian Anderson's performance as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson in the BBC drama The Fall have failed to mention her silk blouse collection. An iconic part of the character, those shirts – silk, cleavage-enhancing, under a well-cut suit, and defining her as a professional woman not afraid of looking attractive – are set to see a rise in popularity ahead of tomorrow's final episode of the five-part thriller set in Belfast.

Exclusive: Executive Producer Bryan Fuller on 'Hannibal's Shocking Finale
FEARnet sat down with the show's executive producer Bryan Fuller, who filled them in on adapting Thomas Harris' books; how Mads Mikkelsen's portrayal of Hannibal Lecter is less like a cannibal and more like Lucifer; the "gruesome stuff" yet to come; and why the season finale plays like a series finale.
Gillian, as Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier, will be in tonight's episode.
Hannibal airs Thursday nights on NBC.
